ABOUT

My background as a swimmer and collegiate athlete was my initial catalyst into the world of design-thinking and understanding the needs of functional performance apparel. I had always wanted to design more feminine and beautiful options than my current suits offered me- while still functioning as they needed to.  At the time, ultra-flattering one piece suits that could withstand hours of swim practice, while still feeling feminine didn’t seem to exist when I was in my youth or even in college. It set me on a path towards fashion design and wanting to bring functional and stylish options for athletes of all kinds.

After graduating from UC Berkeley in 2010, I pursued a degree in Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in San Francisco. This ultimately led me to  my first career designing for over seven-years at Athleta (Gap Inc.) as the lead Designer of Train, Swim, and Performance Lifestyle products.  I then transitioned my career as the Sr. Designer of Active at SPANX, where I oversaw Train, Swimwear and Active Bras. Being a part of this team was as incredible journey that always emphasized Activewear and Swim through a shapewear lens —while always maintaining ultra-feminine cuts and performance ready attributes within every collection..

I am currently freelancing as an Activewear consultant and am open to working on projects on a full  or part-time basis.  Thank you for viewing my portfolio and I look forward to working together.
